First off, what on earth made you think it was tinder fungus?

As to what it is, will have to look in a book
I think I have seen something similar on a birch stump. Knowing what its not is much easier than identifying it
The first image is probably too blurred though for an ID. Typically guide books talk about cap diameter, stem diameter, height, colour of gills, spacing of gills, scales on stems, shape of mature cap, etc etc etc.
You might get some suggestions from that photo, but you probably need a clearer one, with measurements. What kind of soil do you have? was it in the lawn, growing on rotting matter?
I know that there are some great on-line fungi pages, just can't think of them right now.
