Is there anyone around in the NE Hants/Surrey Borders area who would be willing to take a complete novice out during any Fungi Forays over the Autumn? I am woefully inept at Fungi ID and would like to add this skill to my knowledge. Maybe this could be an event organised by one of the many experts out there.

Can I widen the plea to include North Wilts too?

I love mushrooms, but apart from Chicken of the Woods which is easy to ID, I've been very wary of picking them in the wild.

Good call - some cracking woods in North Wilts - maybe an overnighter?
