dunno if it will fit as i dont have a frost

i use a 35mm film cannister for my spoon knife
just cut a slit in the lid center slip it over the blade to the hilt and pop on the cannister .... classy ;)

A 35mm what????

I'm all digital haven't seen one of those for years!

Nice idea I'll have to try it if I can find one.

Ask in the local photo shop, they give them away. Failing that, get a box that drill bits come in, or just be careful! I was looking for some good birch bark and was gonna make a tube and pop some wooden ends on to hold it, I just cannot find any good birch bark on a fallen tree.

Jon R did a super one in wood - nearly as nice as Singtecks leather one. Me, I cut a section of mountain Bike inner tube that I had for firelighters and glued an end shut and just pulled it over the knife like.....well its not going to make any little scalpels put it that way!

If only for the short term, i'd recommend Spamels suggestion of a drill bit box. That's what i've done until i can finalise my design for my 'Carving Box';)

Here is a thread by Shep for a leather spoon case based on Jon R's wooden sheath.

Further down the thread is my case (unstained) which is similar in style to Singtecks. It relied on wet forming to close the flap instead of poppers. Very easy to make with some scrap leather.

Thanks everyone I've found a drill box at work this morning. I've put a bit of foam in the bottom to protect the blade.

It will do until I have time to make something better, but thanks for all the ideas.

I made this. Used a block of wood and started burning it out with a hot piece of metal. finished off with a drill!
