Hi guys....

Wondered if you're interested in earning free money?? By joining YOUGOV.COM you fill out online surveys and get paid from 50p for each one you do and every week there is a prize survey you can take part in which has a draw for £250. All it costs is a bit of time and it's so the government can get an idea of what us the public think
As a member of the YouGov Panel you will be invited from time-to-time to participate in surveys on topics ranging from from politics to painkillers to pensions. Each time you take part in a survey, you will have your virtual YouGov account credited with cash amounts depending on the survey's length, or you may be entered into a prize draw. When you reach £50 in your account, YouGov will send you a cheque for that amount.

Joining the panel

To join the YouGov Panel, we need to collect some profile information about you. This is for three reasons:

* Firstly, it allows us to make sure we invite you to future surveys that are relevant to you.
* Secondly, it means you are not asked the same questions each time you complete a survey.
* Thirdly it sets up your YouGov Panel account so you can begin accruing credit.

If you'd like to take part, click on the link below and away you go. Sorry to folks across the pond but this is only available to people in the UK :(

I am not trying to be nasty here but the words "plague avoid the like" are springing up in my mind and only need rearanging into the correct order.

I would lay money (not much mind cos I am not a betting man unless I know for a fact I would win) on those companies being spamtastic.

While i do not usually question my fellow "full members" or bushcrafters i'm afraid this sounds too good to be true.

From bitter experience "there is no such thing as a free lunch"

Is there any more information available on this?

I have no problem giving my opinion on anything (as it is normally far away from what is considered "average" {i like to buck the statistics trend :D }) but as demographic said i am not getting involved in companys customer research.

There are no companies to deal with, just yougov and I've been doing it for a while now and haven't been spammed once

hmmmm guess which it will be

50p for each one ........... When you reach £50 in your account, YouGov will send you a cheque
100 surveys before you get anything.

And reveal your bank details..... :nono: :nono: :nono:

These type of things have been around for a while. Do X number of surveys and we will send you cash, trouble is in the majority of cases you never get sent enough surveys to acheive the cash, but just enough for the company to make money from your replies.

As with all things, take care what you sign up to, after all its not just your physical that can be stolen, intelectual property can too. Your opinion DOES matter, so much so that big business' are willing to pay a 3rd party to gather it.

Would I be right in thinking that Maddave is paid a referral fee for everyone who joins via the link he posted?

I thought advertising for personal gain was not allowed.

Apologies if I'm wrong on this.

Yougov.com require regular contributions for opinion polls, often on behalf of national newspapers on topical matters. They usually pay 50p or £1 for each survey, but some are prize polls awarding up to £500. Generally they e-mail you when surveys are available - usually about once a week. You also earn 100% of the earnings of anyone you refer for 3 months (eg if your brother signs up and completes 14 surveys paying £1 each he earns £14 and so do you) so please quote ads@homeworkinguk.com as your referrer when you sign up.

Nope you are not wrong and as such this IS for personal gain

Ackkk you're right. It wasn't my intent to gain personally, i just bthought it might be worth more peoplegetting in on it and I just followed the referral instructions.

Admins please feel free to remove the thread as I can't see any other way of referring people  :(

In that case i apologise for my earlier comment :o ....

...it just seemed looking at the site that if enough of us signed up you stood to make a pretty penny out of us all.

I have no problem with that, but if that was the case i would like to have been informed in the original post.

hiya guys,

it's a bit of a moral dilemma this one, we'll let it run for the time being. the mods are aware of it, but we need to scratch our collective heads for a moment.
