Free fresh fallow hide.

I have a spare fallow buck hide. Carcass was skinned today -I've not made any holes and the dermis is unscored so a good candidate for processing (obviously the entry and exit holes are present!) Probably won't be suitable for a "hair-on" tanning as the winter coat is loosening, I believe.

The hide will need fleshing, etc. as nothing has been done yet.

I'm heading back to Derby later today. If someone wants to pick it up from Derby I will take it with me.

Alternatively, I can leave it in W. Sussex (Dial Post, off the A24) and you can pick up from my relatives.

In either case, PICK UP MUST BE WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS! I have no freezer space so the hide will be going-off!

There is another deer not yet skinned; not sure when the hide will be available (might not be usable as my father in law will be doing it and he is more aggressive with these things!)

I can provide the brains, too.

if you could freeze it i would have it but cant get to you before the weekend : (

A nice kind offer, i thought they'd be fighting for this !! I used to salt or borax the hide they would last for months , before i got a use or needed slippers, or cover wooden stool tops etc..
