Ah-ha!
I manage to dig up this old Mora I bought back in my university years.
From a flea market, (probably stolen) for less than RM10.

Never thought much of it until I started using and learning to appreciate a good Mora.
Phew...thank God I manage to find it.

Any tips of how to make the blade look more 'presentable'?

Use it? Probably not. It is the oldest Mora piece I have and would like to frame it up!!

Well done on finding it!

Now that knife just HAS to be used. Give it a nice sharpening and let it do what it was made for.

I like it the way it is, but if you want to get it looking a bit newer ask the same question on britishblades forum they realy know there stuff.

I had a feeling I was going to be told to use the knife.
Sigh...probably right.

But the carbon steels do get rusty easily here in Malaysian weather.
Probably will use it for more carving work?

Yeah, did not think of that. I may leave the blade as it is (and use it!). It has that rustic look on it yeah.

By the way, is this a common blade in UK? (out of curiosity)

I had a source for these a while back - but it dried up!
I still have a couple - but I am saving them for "special" rehandling when just the right wood turns up... the original wood handles on mine are painted a vile orangy browny carp colour.....
I rehandle and make sheaths for lots of Moras - these days I have an intermittent supply of E Jonsson Mora knives that are similar in design - but not with laminated blades, just excellent carbon.
Great little knives, but those blades deserve better handles and sheaths!
