Fixing Long sight ( hyperopia )

Anyone had their eyes fixed for Long sight ( hyperopia ) ??
Which I think is an option now - its the one thing that irks me getting older and I'd like to get it fixed if at all possible as it messes up my shooting.

So any one gone from Mr Magoo to Captain America.?

Yep, paid eight and a half grand for new lenses and cataract removal (while they were in there); best money I've ever spent. That was just over a year ago and I'm still buzzing on it now. Whole thing took way less than an hour, both eyes done, some minor discomfort for a week or so, but very minor. I was driving again at the end of the first week. I'm 76, so for younger folk the recovery would likely be quicker.

I'm glad to hear that, and thinking of going the same route sooner rather than later. £ 8 1/2 grand catches my breath but seems to be about the market price. Which lens type did you go for?
There seems to be 3; Multifocal, Toric and Trifocal ?

I was limited as to choice as I had irregular shaping to the surface of my eyes, caused by things that were work-related, but you are informed of all the details after the initial inspection; I have Toric lenses and find it difficult to imagine how my sight could be improved.

Optimax do this and I trust them. Recently contacted them and they still have my records from 20 years ago still easily accessible. I have the driving ok from both my optician and the hospital, so will wait until after the DfT licence renewal in a few months.
