Having a bit of a Spring clean.....I've got the following up for grabs if anyone's interested before evilbay does it's work:

2 x Chub Outkast 12ft 2.25TC rods - used half a dozen times for Piking so virtually new. £30 each or £50 the pair.

1 X Greys Prodigy Specialist 12ft. One top 1.25TC & one 1.5TC this is new & unused. £50

2 X Okuma Baitrunner type reels that are paired with the Outkasts. Can't remember the exact model - will update later. Again, only used half a dozen times. £30 each or £50 the pair. Here's the model - EPB50: http://www.climaxtackle.com/okuma/epix_pro_baitfeeder.htm

1 X Youngs Ray Walton 11ft 1.6TC Barbel rod. Brand new & never used, comes with a cordura hard rod case. £40

I've quite a bit more if any interest in this type of stuff.

Well, I've got an original John Wilson 11/13 Avon quiver, a Normark 13ft Match rod, a Youngs 13ft Trotter - brand new, A Ray Walton Rolling Pin Centrepin, a JRC bedchair, a Pioneer Ultralite Specimen Bivvy sans front panel - bloody mice!! I'll have to have a proper stock take at the weekend. I'm not carping or piking any more so that sort of stuff will eventually go - I'm just gonna keep the stuff I know I'll use either on holiday or the odd trip. Cheers

Interesting - fished the ponds at south muskam when I was a lad - also did the Trent there in the schools championships (we came 11th). Would you care to share your wharfe secrets?

Sorry thread Hijack!

No secret mate. Im in the bradford no1 and they have a length at thorpe arch on a sssi site. Beautiful place and barbel upto 14 lb. unfortunatly thats where Jimmy Heselden died the other year. You park in a farmers field then walk down the hill. To the left is a weir and 3/4 mile right and you enter a wood;) nice and quiet.

Now I like to go after decent tench.

I put a 1000 Tench in one of our ponds last winter, one came out in the summer at just a shade under 7lb, it was female fish and had spawned so would have been a belter when carrying

I love tench. The orange eye makes them so different but then the mouth makes them look so sad. Fight like hell though on float tackle.

Used to fish the Trent when I lived in Nottingham - brilliant. Even the heavily match pegged stretches around Stoke Bardolph would produce some superb fish. After being on the waiting list for 5 years I finally got into the Nottingham Piscatorials & could fish some outdtanding parts of the Upper Trent - you could fish all day & not see another soul - then my job got moved to Scotland!! Gutted - the coarse fishing up here is very sparse hence selling the gear. I have a couple of weeks in France most years & fish the River Blavet - excellent sport.
