Had a go at some spoons, middle one is Ash other two are unknown logpile logs.

Coffee scoop, with flat bottom for compacting coffee into expresso funnel. Alder I think.

I love a spoon with a handle long enough to "sup with the devil"!.........The coffee scoop is great, too :)

Good spoons for your first attempt. Beware though, soon you will have more spoons than you know what to do with - it is addictive.
That scoop is excellent.

You make lovely spoons and that scoop is really quite special!

Broke one of my spoons last night, so next weekend in the woods my aim is to make a new one.... or a coffee scoop! :p

Year first photo; the one on the left looks like ash.
Did you carve them from fresh wood, semi fresh or dry?

They are all green wood, up to about a month from being cut, some of the later ones were roughed out, then "hidden" in the freezer until I had some free time to make them more spoon shaped.
