My first go at spoon carving. Roughed them out with my GFB and finished with Mora scout and crook knife.

The bowl on lower one is too deep and thick and both would have benefitted from a deal more time but they were fine for making bannock dough today on outdoor baking workshop!

Any frank and robust comments / tips welcome

They are both perfectly good and nice - looking spoons; but don't forget there's no reason to not do something more to them to change them or rectify anything you see as a "fault" in them :)

I always get a bit nervous after a while hollowing out the bowl as I have on a few occasions gone too thin with them and end up with a drainage hole!

Have they been treated with anything? I have been putting a few coats of walnut oil on when I'm happy with mine.
