Getting chilly here too, I never use heating in my home but I did get my woolen thermals out yesterday and my big jumpers too, forgot how much I enjoyed wearing them all last winter. I'm trying to plan a wild camping trip up to Orkney Islands soon so I might get to see some of that Highland snow on my journey

Just been having a smoke outside and it's certainly chilly, clear skies and lots of stars, maybe a first frost here tonight.

That means I can dig up the Ocas :) We've just had the first yellow flower appear this week :)

Today was cooler here as well; no snow yet though, but cool enough to need the covers last night (low outside was about 40f or 4.4c)

My Cousin in Alaska (Napaskiak)posted up a pic showing (poorly I'm afraid) the beginning of the freeze-up there:

This morning felt really autumnal for just about the first time. Chilly and breezy. What an autumn so far though!

Very wet!

Fire up the central heating yesterday for the first time since mid spring. We have prepay for gas so topped up and found it have a £50 debt to pay which is nice.
Seems that OFGEN kindly negotiated a deal on my behalf to apply a standing charge to a service I haven't used for 7 months or more.

Looking forward to getting out soon now the fire is more important.
