I forged this little spoon carving knife/chisel a couple of days ago. The blade is forged from a 1/4" silver steel bar. It is wicked sharp and seems to hold its edge very well. The handle was lying about the workshop so was unceremoniously dragged from retirement. Not sure if the shape/size is going to be suitable but I'll use it for a while like that to see what improvements can be made.
If you want to see it in action, I have made my first short video on carving a spoon with it and Part one is on my blog! The cunning plan is to only use that one tool to carve the spoon. I'll make some more video clips following the carving. That should show:
1) how inept I really am with modern technology...
2) if I can make the spoon with just the one tool.
