First 2012 wander in the fells..

Weather forecast for the weekend gone was looking just too good so pack packed and of for a wander up Melbreak. Great day out and some fantastic views..

Was just great to get out and blow the cobwebs off!!!

I really like Melbreak, and I see it every ( clear ) day when I drive out of the village where I live. The last time I walked over it was in the summer, and the conditions were the opposite to your walk; mild, wet, cloudy and windy.

Wanted to go up it for a while now, love it round crummock and buttermere (crummocks good for a paddle too especially finishing it of with a paddle down the river back to the car park!). It is a cracking little walk and the eldest didn't mind too much!!
