I've got the standard web tex basha/ tarp from ronnie sunshines, I used it loads without any problems then someone the other day told me if a spark landed on it a hole would be burnt right through.

firstly is that true......I have good reason to believe it is but ya never know :)

secondly is there anything I can do to "fire proof" it from sparks

cheers in advance

If you want fireproof (or more fireproof than nylon) Wil you`ll need to invest in a cotton tarp, they`re heavier but definitely more fire friendly.

Lightweight nylon doesn`t take a spark well, but I like the way the sun shines through the little holes in the morning :D

I've used a product called 'Flame guard' fer years on diff' projects.....even stops newspaper burnin' from a lighted match!.....not sure how it would fair on a webx tarp tho.....tis really designed fer 'Backdrops' in the stage industry.
I'll try a bit o' nylon tis arvo an' give ye the results later....
