Hello, I'd like to ask your advice:

I'm working on a project at the moment with camel bone scales. They sand up well but they pick up dirt and muck really quickly, presumably because they're kind of microporous. Can I seal them with something to stop this happening? I know people use superglue for sealing anter - is that the way to do it? Or should I Danish oil them?

Unfortunately I can't get on BB from work, so I wondered if anyone on here has any experience with this.

Thanks in advance for any comments

Thanks to both for your comments.

I decided to test the danish oil on an offcut and it didn't discolour at all. I'm a couple of coats in now and it seems to have done the trick.

I'll get some pics up if I can figure out how...

Cheers
