Well I've finished my first knife. the handles were all hand cut and shaped by me, from Dymondwood and fixed to the tang with 5mm brass pins and 2 part slow set epoxy. The blade was made by Mick Spain and this thing is sharp *cut myself as soon as i opened the package lol *
I'm not a big fan of the high gloss finish that some dymondwood handles have so I've chosen a more flat buff and no sealing needed due the the dymondwood being a laminate impregnated with resin. I've left the handles slightly bulkier than the norm as i have some meaty mitts that need something substantial to grip hold of.
The sheath I've quickly stitched together and decided to go for a true British pattern for my first sheath *it still needs to be edge laced and edge neatened* but I'm happy.
Let me know what you think.
Knife on a camo backdrop
Knife and sheath * sheath still needs edge lacing and trimming *
Knife and sheath again
Enjoy.
P.S i left a slight bit of the tang protruding at the rear to give my little finger a bit more to grip when using, it is meant to be that way before someone mentions it lol.
