If you want to try it can be cheap and fit "your" knife perfectly. Then you will have more new skills and yet another crafty hobby.
Then there is always getting a custom lovely thing made by one of the experts on here like Luckylee, angst etc. If you do decide to go down this route definitely send them the tool to make the sheath fit properly.
When I first started leather work I was useing a snap off bladed stanley, and a cheap awl. I now have a box full of tools and more on the waiting list.
