Tending to revert to paper and pen, and recently looked out my old Filofax, I have some of the original blank pages for it on my desk now. I used some some of the specific pages, mainly the contactrs and calendar.
I really liked my Palm but when they changed the software it died, records all lost.
Paper records seem to be more reliable and secure, nothing becomes outdated, or lost. Also quicker for me to write than 1 finger typing.

I’ve used a Filofax mainly the A5 size convenient for A4 but small enough to be handy. I used to look at all the Filofax inserts but rarely used them beyond the address book. I have the Levenger circa system, same idea but a different binding system. I have a Rite in the Rain ‘Filofax’ with waterproof paper but have never used it. I now use a Leuchtturm1917 notebook for work and personal diary. Essentially I line it out according to what I need. As others have said with it lying flat it’s easier to use. I always fancied a Psion but couldn’t afford one at the time. I had a PDA a Dell I think loved it.

Now you are talking I have been through a whole gamut of these things before the smartphone. I had a palm which was crap, a Psion series 5 which was pretty good and I would still use but for the fact that it has a busted screen, an HP Ipaq with minimal battery life, and a Tosh Libretto. Back in the mid 80s when I was a very busy person I used a Filofax to organise my life and find time to do all the things I needed to, I had nice leather pocket addition.

No, I stay away from phone sex I struggle with Whatsapp, apparently I missed a big birthday family dinner today, they sent Whappits and never though to phone me!.

I've managed to get it to remind me to put the bins out successfully but that's about it. I have tried other things but not with a lot of success.
I frequently don't realise the battery has run flat. It used to last ages but I get so many timewasters on a couple of Whatsapp groups that it drains the battery even in saver mode, or maybe its just too old.

Got my Filofax in 1986, in a Xmas raffle prize and used it till I retired. Made my own note pad stationary, work paid for my yearly diary insert and never replaced the telephone numbers, just added and became quite the font of knowledge and rather full. Still have it in a draw at home, not in use now but preferred it to my iPhone for access.

I'm a lefthander, tried the filofax on a couple of occasions but it was a ruddy nightmare with the ring binder getting in the way. Came to the conclusion that Filofax were left-ist!

These days, my diary management happens online through my mobile and work devices and I'm very happy with that. But, I do enjoy a decent notebook to scribble things down, to-do lists, plan camping adventures and what not. At Christmas I treated myself to a Lochby pocket journal and it's a very wonderful thing indeed.

Rite in the rain

Spotted that Rite in the rain still do 6 ring paper for the Filofax. I presume that is from the old military TAMS folders.

Seriously, logic indicates there's a good side and a bad side to write on for everyone. I'm personal and smaller I can't write on the left side of a spread without taking the page out. That's no different to the lefties on the right hand side.
