just got a copy of " forgotten skills of cooking " by Darina Allen, published by Kyle Cathie Ltd ( www.kylecathie.com )

what a fantastic book ! all old methods of cooking everything from limpets to crayfish to mallard, goose, trout, seaweed etc etc etc etc ......using wild foraged ingredience.

well worth getting hold of a copy if you can.

I have some of Darina Allen's other books, and I find them very good indeed - she concentrates on cooking good ingredients simply, and her baking recipes in particular are excellent.

I'll get a copy of 'Forgotten Skills'; maybe next month, as it's £24.
