Hi,

I know the Fallkniven F1 is very popular, but does anyone have experience with the larger Fallkniven S1 as a bushcraft knife?

Thanks.

Yup, took mine out to Norway for a week and it did everything i needed it to. Absolutely brilliantly. Batoning, striping, cutting, carving, it did everything. Wasnt too heavy but heavy enough for some bigger jobs too. The length was useful as well where the F1 would struggle perhaps. The grind angle is shallower on the S1 too which makes it a better cutter. Carved these with it whilst there.

I would guess a netting needle, for making nets for fishing and the like. Used plastic versions and it's not a fun task.

BTW, nice skill to carve it, I never have that patience.
