In Neil Andrew's reveiw on the Fallkniven F1he says that he has put a fine flat bevel on his f1 and it performs the same as a Scandi grind. I really like the idea of this but I havent seen an f1 like this and would like to ask Neil what this new grind is like. Is there enough bevel to make the knife easy to sharpen like a normal Scandi?
If the finished product handles as well as I hope it will, I want to buy myself my first proper sharpening set to regrind the knife. So my next question would be; is it easy to change the edge and what tools do I need for this.
I guess you will redirect my last question to the knife forums but any information is very helpful.
I couldnt find Neils username in the forum but if anyone can help I would be very grateful

You may find that Neil1 (Neil Andrews) used a Lansky sharpening system to put the flat on the F1 blade.

I can also tell you that it works very well and although Neil uses quite a few edged tools this is one of his favourites.

I am a fan of the F1 myself and would say that what he has done to his has improved it very much so.

I did much the same thing, putting a V-grind on my F1. It didn't take very long with a diamond stone (10-15 min) and I prefer it to the thick convex factory grind.
