These look good

Only thing is I'm not sure how you would wear it, so stupid question time...

As a right hander do you wear it on the left hand side (sort of cross draw ish)?
Or do you wear it behind your right hip / small of the back?

Anybody know?

A picture would be great.

I think the answer is: whichever you like. A certain Chief Scout whose name should not be mentioned here :pokenest: wears his Bayley version in front of him, cross draw style, though I've seen pics of others who wears theirs around the small of their backs - though I imagine it would be trickier to put your knife back in its sheath that way. Try both & see I guess then!

I've looked at the Rob Bailey website and I think the £40 is for the wee pouch that takes a DC3 and the thin firesteel.

On this basis the ebay offering seems quite a good price.

It might be worth considering that some of the makers on here (thinking Rapidboy amongst others) could probably do you something as good (or better) for similar money tho...

Just a thought.

Well I couldn't resist any longer and went ahead and bought that sheath from eBay.

It arrived yesterday, and I have to say I'm really impressed with it. With the F1 and full-sized firesteel installed it makes a very nice compact unit. It sits comfortably on my belt in any position, and of course being horizontal can also be discreet should the need arise - saves taking your belt off when you nip into the petrol station after a moot!

I see the seller (Leatherworlddirect, with whom I have no connection at all other than as a satisfied customer) has no more for sale as of this morning, but judging from his feedback they are a regular item so I'd guess it's a case of him making some more up. I note he does a similar sheath for Moras too.

They won't suit everyone I know, being a bit more - ahem - BG than RM, if you get my drift........

Cheers

Could you put some pics up. I'm still on the fence on this so that would help. Looks like they do them in different colours too.

Just further to this: in practice - assuming you wear a belt not threaded through trouser belt loops - it's easy to swing the sheath around into any position as you need it.

My troosies would fall down then though :o

I've got a Bayley with the same sheath and those free belts you get with Craghoppers trousers are perfect to keep permanenly attached.
