I was at an event in Rotherham today and i met up with a guy called Liam Patterson who is the director of a company called Ethical Comunity.

from his pitch it seemed like he had some pretty cool stuff there, and there may be some opportunities for members on here.

the website is here:

http://www.ethicalcommunity.com/

ive got no connection at all to the guy, just liked the website and liked the idea.

not a fan of fair trade to be honest dig enough and you'll find that its no more 'ethical' than any other form of business, and i don't like the fact that labelling something as fair trade instantly doubles the price

lol fair enough, thought it might be interesting to someone, but i can see what you mean about whats on there at the moment, maybe we should put some stuff up there and change it for the better!

With the proper fair trade mark it's probably not going to be *really evil* business although this is a very expensive site.

not necessarily it costs upwards of 3 grand for someone to join the fairtrade label so most small farmers can't afford it anyway, and the people who are on fair trade tend to buy up everyone else's produce at crap prices and sell it as fair trade at a substantial mark up
