Just can't understand why they could not solve the issues with the vehicle to meet EU laws.

Just too much to change mate, plus the defender is massively expensive to produce in its current form

Land Rover have announced the last Defender to be built rolled off the production line this morning with the horn blasting & indicators flashing. A spokesman said they think it is a fault in the fuse box... ��

I have some happy memories of driving these off road in the army at least. (both the early 80's model and early 90's)
