stumbled across this yesterday whilst wandering in the woods. iv been looking out for one of these for a couple of years now and had come to the conclusion that they didnt grow around here:)
i just hope i can find it again!


bonus points if anybody else can tell what it is?

yeah you two have got it right:) can't beleve iv found one, thats another tick on the rare native tree list. now i just have to find a wild pear and i then im sorted:D

My bet was the service thingy. Kind of obvious really even if you don't know what it looks like. Afterall there's so few around these days I believe. Good find but don't tell anyone, keep it for yourself. :D
 
There's one in a cemetery near me,The berries were a wee bit mealy(dry),nice enough flavour though.probably make a nice accompany to meat.
