EG Ultimate match - probably going to be available at somepoint.

Looks a lot like an American style road flare.

Whilst initially I was somewhat sceptical I could see definite merit in Winter or Water based activities where one is beyond the normal scope of recreational areas and immediate self rescue is a potential need.

Thoughts.

Exactly that: serious cold where your fingers might not be up to working a lighter/matches/etc.

Impressed.
Lights underwater.
Burns underwater
100% waterproof container coming soon they say.

£10 for three! (Dunno p&p)

That does look good.
I’d want to know shelf life because this would sit in the car for a long time.

Edited to add:
Cold doesn’t stop you building your fire so it dries you and the fuel optimally, rather than just heaping up sticks and calling it a fire.

Also quite impressed, would also work quite well as a flare. a Tenner for three is fair. With my firelighting skills I wonder if they,d give me a discount for bulk buy!
Shelf life is going to be the issue. Needs to be water/leak proof storage, but not too hard to unwrap.

If my hands get cold now I lose all feeling and circulation, Doc says its Reynards. I could just about get a stick into the ring to pull it but serious wrapping would be a problem even using teeth (while I still have them...)

In the meantime I think I'll make some of those DIY never fail matches with a balloon around them.

Condom.

I've a few I've no use for anymore.

It may be classed as hazardous. Shotgun cartridges, reloading powders, primers etc can only be sent via certain couriers so costs can be high.

Spend £100 and you get free delivery...

Yep, even if you knock it up to over £100 the free delivery option doesn't work but it does drop down to £19. It sounds as though the item is classified as 'dangerous' or something and requires special handling :(

Edit: sorry, cross post - but the free delivery doesn't work

I do wonder if these fall under the pyrotechnics umbrella of deliveries. - Enola Gaye do alot of flash bangs . smoke bombs for the Air soft community.

I wonder if they would do a discount delivery to a Bush Moot.

As I said, it's discounted to £19 if you order 10 or so. So group buy would work but we couldn't then distribute it without incurring delivery charges or fuel charges :)

Ah, there's a shipping problem in the UK not of the UK Resellers making. Sloworm is right, they are classed as Hazardous so he is obliged to use a specialist courier, min £29
By chance the UK reseller's facility is in my neck of the woods. I might pop round and see if there is any solution.

Strange. Without the free delivery code the delivery price was £19 or so, then when I added the code it didn't change!

This time I tried it keeps the £19.99 but doesn't add it to the total so the delivery is free - weird :)
