Buy buy buy lol

I found a nice dead tree that I picked up and the insides fell out. Granted it was a bit broken but all I wanted was the bark, I was supprised at how well it burns even when the inside bit is still a bit damp

Ye Gods :(

It's a wee bag of the stuff too

"Birch bark, limited stock" :lmao: :lmao:

Ah well, entrepreneurship has to start somewhere I suppose :dunno:

Toddy

I notice he's in Plymouth  anyone else in Plymouth city center want some have a look at the trees on the road leading into the railway station ;) Oops hope I have'nt lost him a sale, maybe thats his 'limited stock' :D

I suspect he's got limited stock because he hasn't bought any more since May, when he bought "BIRCH BARK SHEETS FOR CRAFTS, THICK 17 sq ft WISCONSIN" from another seller... Which he didn't bother to leave feedback for.

Some people, eh?

"For: fire,crafts,education,packing,medical, healing"

How can you use them tiny peices for packing, medical and healing uses? medical? can you smoke it? haha

I wondered why his ebay id was C.M.O.T Dibbler...
what a load of tosh...
granted he has some birch bark boxes on offer but seriously, birch bark tinder?!
LOL

I feel sorry for the poor trees he has butchered!

It kind of defeats the whole idea buying it from ebay, for the "arm chair" bushcrafter me thinks!:lmao:

I'm pretty sure he hasn't butchered any trees - he bought it from someone in the US. He's just selling the scraps left over from his other craft projects.

Shame I didn't see this earlier; I've just spent all my money on some magic beans I bought of some old fella' on the way to the market.:lmao:

Mother was furious!!:yikes:

OK.

If some of you found the birch bark a little bit funny, check out this ebay advert for one day expedition food.

I am curious as to why he paid £13 to make it up, when it is only part of a 24 hour rat pack, that would only be £5-6 to start with, and bearing in mind it contains MOD issue food, and he is in Devon (possible bootie) then I would be surprised if it cost anything to make up.
