Another here who's not too far! I'm in Wilsden, near Bingley! (This is my first post too, so 'Hello!') 
It is indeed! I'm originally from Leeds, just moved here last year and since then have been busy exploring the local woods and hills
theres some cracking woods just up from the golf courses in bingley

I go for a wander around Goitstock often
There's a nice quiet little wood between St. Ives and Harden Moor too. Although lately I've been getting up onto Ilkley Moor and out into the hills west of Haworth.

rom the malt shovel, Harden all the way up the Harden beck valley to Cullingworth, theres a few waterfalls (trout!) and lots of woodland that not too many people actually leave the main path for.
St Ives and surrounding area although has been done over a bit by the parks lot and is very popular has some lovely secluded spots, we spend alot of time up there with the dogs and at the Archery club
