is this honestly your opinion? do you think that when you close your eyes the world goes away too?
It's more of a statement than an opinion really.
If you were in a position where you were receiving no news reports from any media then your view of the world as a society quickly diminishes.
As an example lets use Australia wiped out by a tsunami.
If you saw this on the news then you would be very concerned, if your house was near the sea it's logical that you'd be worried about the same thing.
If on the other hand you were on a news blackout and never heard or read about it then it would be of no concern to you, you'd be ignorant to the dangers and suffering.
To clarify let me say this.
In my 42 years on this planet i have no known 1 person that has been murdered, to my knowledge i've not even met one.
I have known several people die from cancer, heart disease and liver failure.
In all those cases their lifestyle played a dramatic part in their early demise.
Yet if we take a glance at the various media you'd be forgiven for feeling that the main threat to your life is a violent murder or death by a terrorist act.
It's all about perception.
No news from various media and the threats to you are the real ones you and your loved ones have experienced.
Watch the news daily and your perception changes as to what risks there are.
To bring that back onto topic you stated.
the society that we live in is neither well balanced nor stable, maybe it's the well balanced and stable people who are best suited to removing themselves from it
If we read and watch news reports from around the world then it's easy to come to this conclusion.
If on the other hand we base this opinion only on first hand experiences through our lives then i believe our opinion will be dramatically different.
