Dovestones Day Out

Spent a couple of days up in Greenfield lately. Thought Id share some photographs.
This week we went for a walk above Dovestones reservoir.

Last week we went out cutting some willow to be used in the spring for construction.

Bundles of cut willow tied to the land rover roof for transport. Turning it into a giant witches broomstick

Isn't there an enormous contrast between the 'infield' and high pasture lands ? Quite fascinating to see it so clearly demarcated.
I like threads like this that encourage me to have a nosey for the place names on google satellite, interesting stuff and that looks like a good walk

Willow's good stuff, it really is. I've planted a staggered double row against a fence in the garden so that I can cut alternate stools each year. It has taken off like a rocket.
