NORTH WALES
Hi all
Took this pic today but got no idea of what it is, it's grows on the shore, and the wood part of the tree looks a bit like willow, but the foliage looks a bit like the herb dill.
Any thoughts are welcome
Thanks
Bill

based on the foliage only, and ignoring the tree trunk and stems, which look atypical, then I'm thinking a cypress. if the foliage is hard and dark then Nootka cypress (my choice looking at it), or if softer then Sawara cypress. There are varieties of both that were raised for ornamental purposes. Other cypresses are also possible, but those are the common ones with that foliage form.

On further study of my book, it could even be leylandii, Leyland cypress.
