Thanks for the kind words - which I passed on to BB. It did indeed hammer down later that day.
Lovely for all that. This one os a little later. The colour has faded a bit but the cloud formations are stunning still (also BBs shot I might add)

We'll be in for Christmas (famous last words) 
BB is sewing curtains as we speak! Stoves are in, decorating is done, carpet laid, floors cleaned and polished (original tiles) or sanded and sealed (wood) etc.
Still masses to do outdoors but the house is nearly there

In responce here is one I took last year at dusk one day in autum from just outside my back door. The sky hasn't been this stunning since then.
