I know that a number of you have a bit of a thing for the dark ages...

Thought you might like to know that they have made Beowulf into a movie...

Unfortunately some of the Geats have Scottish accents and the fen loping, Geat munching demon Grendel has been transformed into what appears to be a Neathandral man, however the great halls and armour all seems to look the part.

Looks OK. Does anyone remember the animated version that was on Beeb 2 a few years ago? Now that was class, they really captured the darkness and desparation of Beowulf.

I remember that and I totally agree.It was fantastic.
