I use its elder brother, there is a picture of it in the edge tools gallery,, It replaced my original 01 Woodlore, the damascus steel so far has been better for me in terms of edge retention and maintenance..

I'll pop its Elder brother here for your comparison..

Dare I ask how much ?

One would set you back £325, which isnt bad considering what the Normal Woodlores fetch on E bay. The price reflects longer time spent producing the damascus steel, you will of course have to wait 12 months as well

I am more than happy with my mora, it does what I need I don't need an expensive blade that looks as good as that, I really don't, I don't need any more knives, they are tools and I am a practical person, I really don't NEED anything like that. :sigh:

But I want one, they are real works of art, but I don't need one.
Now I just need to keep repeating the first paragraph until my wife maxes out my card again and this feeling goes away!

Fantastic knives, I have 4 on order from Mr Wood at the moment and the waiting is a killer  .
How does the damascas compare to 01 in use.
I have owned damascas knives before (none at the moment) but never used them.

Hi rb.
I use its elder brother as my everyday knife, Im often down the woods as im a Warden at a wildlife reserve so the knife gets used daily, It replaced my original 01 Woodlore, the damascus steel so far has been better for me in terms of edge retention and maintenance, no rust whatsoever, just give it a wipe over with a damp cloth when I get home, make sure its dry and then a bit of wax.. jackpot.

Got 2 I'm picking up from Alan at the CLA, both are Damascus, one with antler and red liners, one with buffalo horn and greenliners, cant wait..

Sent you a private E mail, need a knife refurbed..

Andy.
