Respect or bonkers, I'm not sure - I think she was a second or two from a Steve Irwin moment and just got lucky. That's the verdict of the locals.

Respect ? she wants a head shake, putting not only herself in danger but the dog, what do you think would have happened if the crocodile wanted to come out of the water, a flip flop's not going to stop it, madness

By the sound of the written reports I was expecting the lady to be beating the croc over the head with the flip flop. Sure if he really wanted to he could have got her but it didn't look like the croc was too serious.

Looks tame compared to this which I caught my kids watching this morning... I saw it at around 2 minutes in.
