West Devon, Edge of Dartymoor!
camping shops... but it ain't cheap - £6 for half a litre

I got my last tin from a fishing / horsy / farm shop in camborne..

alternatively, if you can find it, get 'panel wipe' from car paint type places - pretty much the same stuff but £15 for 5 litres :)

make sure you get the naptha / petroleum stuff, not the new environmentally friendly water based stuff - that don't burn too well

p.s. there will still be some soot from the priming stage - a little less if you prime with meths, but you then have to carry 2 fuels

A lot of us 'stovies' use panel wipe, it works well and won't clog up your stove/lantern like unleaded petrol will. Plus, if you spill it you don't get that lingering petrol smell

Have always used normal petrol (4* when available otherwise unleaded) for the most part then every once and a while a tank of coleman fuel to clear the tubes and jets, never had a problem.
