Cleaning out some fishing boxes today i found this Cold Steel Twist Master that i'd forgotten i'd had, it's a cracking knife, solid, hard wearing, great lock up etc etc.
It really is what a hardcore Opinal should look like.
Anyone know anything about them, my google-fu isn't throwing up much.
I remember Framar Shooting World selling them years ago, in about 1990 or so. That was the Carbon five one, can't remember there being another version at the time.
A big fan of Opinels due to the simplicity, quality, functionality and price. I like the look of that Coldsteel Twistmaster, is it nice to handle? Here's a video review: -
There's a new version of the Opinels as well, spotted one in Keswick a while ago
To me the hole in the blade looked crap and it wasn't cheap either. Oh, yeah, and its got a whistle.
Thats without the serrated blade, which I'm not a fan of at all.
Meh.
I like original Opinels and like the Twistmaster but I'm just not blown away by that thing.
