I watched high plains drifter the other day and remembered how much I enjoyed the old Clint Eastwood movies, I think its high times I put my foot down and took the remote control back of my wife and got a few decent movies back on the box.

So what Clint movies should I start off with, recomend me one please!!

The very very best

"The Outlaw Josey Wales"

Followed by

"For a fistful of dollars"

Then Grand Torino - superb flick

Then "Unforgiven" (another belter)

Switch to "Heartbreak Ridge" for a great beer and shout movie

Back to the cowboys with "Pale Rider"

ans finish with him singing - "Paint your Wagon"

Red

they've already been mentioned but you need to watch these three in the right order: fist full of dollars, for a few dollars more and then the good the bad and the ugly,(which is 1 of my all time favourite movies!) unforgiven is another classic Eastwood western! have seen a few others but in my opinion you have just gotta start with these! :)

Really liked the westerns, but Gran torino was special and deffinately one of his best movies.

I couldn't stand Grand Torino, thought it was his worst ever performance. By the numbers plot. Ach. nevermind. Any of his older stuff is certainly worth watching over just about any film out just now. Sit back and enjoy!

Was it the bad acting from the supporting cast? (the asian family) I though it had a good message but their acting was poor.

In 'Unforgiven' I remember Eastwoods acting being a bit dull but the rest were great. The ending was good though!

The correct order is
1. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
2. A Fist Full of Dollars.
3. For a Few Dollars More.
GB&U is set before FFoD.
