rancid badger

Bushcrafter (boy, I've got a lot to say!)
I'm clearing out some of my surplus gear, it's stuff that just never gets used anymore and I need both the room and the cash!
I will also consider trading for decent quality canoe b/a's, buoyancy bags/blocks or 20metre throwbags.

Military kit:not very good pictures but you get the idea;)

Standard issue, DPM basha- V good condition-no damage-£20 inc p+p

SAS Hammock, similar to Arktis copy but genuine issue-almost as new-£35 inc p+p
The spreaders come in 6 separate bits for compact storage/carrying-I taped mine together to avoid noise and losing the bits! the whole thing rolls up inside a kipmat as is or with the spreaders broken down, will go in a pouch.

NATO stock number etc.

And a possibles pouch I made for myself but never really used:rolleyes: I'm a short axxe so it looks bigger than it is:D
P4290001.jpg

It's in 4mm veg tanned cowhide, all completely hand sewn, the main seams are linen 18/3 while the belt loops/hangers are sewn with artificial sinew.

The large belt loops were an afterthought,(hence lighter colour) as were the 1" solid brass D rings. I had the idea of wearing the pouch over the shoulder but never took it any further.
P4290010.jpg

It's got a few marks here and there due to being surplus to requirements but it's a solid little pouch-

dimensions are:apx 6.5 inches high x 5.75 inches wide x 1.75 inches front to rear.
I asking for £38 inc p+p

Anyone interested, post here, then pm me please. I prefer postal orders and don't have paypal but we'll sort that out, as and when.
Thats it for now:rolleyes:
Thanks for looking,
R.B.

The water bottle pouch? is that a pair or is there two??

Sorry, there are two for sale, separately.
I don't know whether I'm asking too much for the gear, I've been so long "out of the loop"
It's all in good nick, although the pouches have been covered in oak sawdust a few times! but I'm open to offers!
cheers:D

R.B.

update: Both SOLD! it just goes to show you never can tell!:D

Arrived today, many thanks.
I had one in my bergen for years and let it go when I retired!
Stupid boy......................................... as the great Capt Mainwaring would have said!
Now I can carry another in my 'bergen OG' side pocket. I have only ever used one as an emergency evac stretcher (what I intend it for now too), are they any good as a hammock?

Oh buxxer! :11doh: ignore the pm I just sent Mike! should have checked the posts first:D

They are in fact excellent as a hammock, in my opinion, much better than the more modern types most people use now. I would suggest trying the pole bed configuration as well: you need to find two straight, springy poles, small enough in diameter to fit the tubes either side of the hammock and then knock up two "a" frames, on either end. Then drop the hammock, complete with poles threaded through the tubes, onto the "a" frames and push down, forcing the hammock to stretch out and so lock in place. The more weight you put on the hammock, the more sturdy the whole set up should be.

It's easier than it sounds, just ensure you have plenty of pole spare on either end!

I hope it serves you well although, hopefully, not in the role of stretcher!;)
best wishes
Steve
