Chris Boyton (bowyer)

Hi All, just heard that Chris has passed away following a long illness. It seems that a bright light in the traditional crafts of bowyer and fletcher has been extinguished. He wasn’t just an outstanding bowyer, but a good tutor and a nice bloke all round.

It's always sad when someone with his sort of skills and talent passes it leaves a hole that can never be filled.

I didn't know much about him, not being of that world, except for the bit of TV that he did, and where appeared as a such a decent, affable and knowledgeable individual.
