Was going to have a day exploring the Lakes tomorrow but heard a massive crack in the garden and went out to find a branch had come off the big scots pine in my garden.

A day firewooding it is then!

Ooh, that's a piece of wood! Probably a fair few pine cones too. It all burns.

You might need a day drystone walling afterwards though

Its a big cone year, I've already had a few buckets full of fallen ones.

Quite enjoy walling, though I seem to end up with a few spare stones after a repair!

All done, just a mahoosive pile of brash and 3 limbs that will need the forwarder to collect. Half filled my log store!
