  • Merry Christmas Guest, we hope that you have a great day wherever you are, and we're looking forward to hearing of your adventures in the New Year!
My Rambler arrived today.I've wanted a longer bag for quite a while so I can pack my large flask. It works perfectly and sits just right on my hip.Great construction too.I'm very pleased with it,thankyou.

thankyou very much and i sincerely hope they serve you well.

its always a little nerve-wracking when putting out a new product even in leather, of which i'm familiar, but to put out new product made by a new process and with new materials and newly learned skillz is full blown stressful lol.

please keep me updated where appropriate and let me know if any problems whatsoever!

thanks again,

sonni

I've just collection date my bag from the sorting office this morning and I'm delighted with it. Strongly constructed and designed without fuss it's ideal for me. Plenty of room to use it as a light satchel and will hold my flask and some sarnies just right! It sits just right when I'm on my bike too. Thanks Angst, I'm very happy with it. I'll see if I can get some pics of it in use this week.

Sonni, the Stroller Bag arrived today.... WOW!

I gotta say the workmanship is first class Bro!......it is PERFECT..... absolutly the Perritos Cojones! ( Mutts nuts!)

Thank you.... You will be selling more of these when my friends see them....that i guarantee!

lol...thanks m8, glad youre pleased....had another 50 metres of various fabrics turn up this week so i'll be hitting the sewing machine again once i've caught up on my leatherwork commissions...

got my bag earlier in the week, I'm very impressed with the quality of the bag, also the size and design is ideal for carrying thing without being a nuisance when wearing it.
I think ill be looking out for a different one if they are available in the future.

Hi Sonni, love the 'Stroller' bag..my only suggestion would be a longer strap as an 'option'.... and you could do a stroller MKII with a pen loop inside and maybe a small pocket on the reverse to hold a Mobile phone?

If you fancy doing a custom one, I will probably be back later in summer to order another for myself.

Cheers!

Measurements for my bag if you can price it up

Knife slot
25cm length x 6cm width x 4cm depth.

Firesteel slot
13cm x 3cm x 2.5cm

Saw slot
23cm x 7cm x 3cm

Overall bag to be.

35cm length x 30cm width x 13cm depth

Please let me know a price.

I'll also need a slot for my hatchet as well...can't get the measurements right now but it's about the same size as a gransfors hunters axe. So the bag will need to take that into account. I didn't think about it to begin with. Lol

hi...thanks mouse, bag number 2 will be with you asap...

ta for feedback durham....longer?....do you like wearing the bag real low or are you tall please?

I will measure....at the moment it sits about 12" from the armpit....nearly..as i sling it over the opposite shoulder as i have very 'droopy' slanty shoulders and the strap will just slide off...i also have a 58-59" chest..im a big lump of a bloke.

I've now used my "Walker" bag for a while and have a few thoughts.

1. Longer shoulder strap. I've a 47" chest and broad shoulders. That combined with a long torso means the strap is a bit short when slung diagonally over the opposite shoulder. Another 12" would give plenty of scope for taller wider bodies.

2. The internal divider is a great idea, but I've found that it sags unless there is something firm on one side of it, such as a large map or book to give it support. It did occur to me that were it stitched to the back vertically in the middle it would not only support the divider, but effectively provide two internal pockets, giving more internal organisation. In fact, were it stitched to the front it would give two front pockets covered by the flap, but very accessible, much like the Barbour and Brady fishing bags.

3. A metal ring strategically sewn inside would allow "dummy cording" of smaller items and the attachment of keys.

4. I'd love to see these bags made with leather or canvas straps and with other than plastic fittings.

I realise all of these comments would involve greater work and cost, but more importantly could be seen as criticism which is not intended. This is a really well put together bag and really can't be beaten at the price. The size is near perfect for day to day use, but for my shape and size as well as the way I like to organise and retrieve my contents it doesn't quite work for me. Others will no doubt feel differently but I promised feedback and I can only give that from my perspective and hope it is taken in the spirit in which its intended.

brilliant m8 thankyou!!!!

1...right so it seems quite a few of you are somewhat larger than me....i'm 6 feet tall, 13 stone with a 40-42 chest...the problem is that if i were to add another 12 inches to the female end strap 'as standard' then it would totally change the way the bag carries on me, for instance....added to that it would mean the adjustable male end with its 'extra' length would be flapping around near the floor.

it seems that, as durham said, longer straps should be offered as an 'option'....i'll make sure this is mentioned/covered in future posts and listings on ebay etc...i'll also be doing bags with the 3-bar slider style straps too.

2...i'm not too clear on the sagging...i'm using two of these bags myself nearly daily and am trying to picture the issue....but yes, no problem whatsoever, an extra line up the middle can be done with no extra fuss. could you possibly give me an exact link to the barbour and bradys you refer to? of course this means the pocket would be half its capacity at max....which some people, including me, may not want.

3...yup yup, no problem...i did do a couple of ramblers early on with key hooks inside...again easily done....would you want the ring inside the pocket?

4....GIMME A BREAK MAN I ONLY JUST STARTED HAHA!!!! youre worse than flippin mike mountain! lol, as i said to him, patience grasshopper!!! i've got outstanding commissions, ebay stock to maintain, heinnie haynes orders to fulfill, i'm prepping for the biggest show of the year and the season ahead...i aint got time to eat or talk to my kids leave alone make monster elaborate projects from scratch for the first time...baby steps dude...thats how one learns properly! (in fact i've been doing some bags the last coupla days with leather bits on...)

THANKYOU very much for your comments, exactly what i was after!

regards
