canoe repair advice

Hi all managed to get my hands on a canoe for free but is in need of a little repair. there are one or two small holes in the topside and the seam has come apart in 3 places, I was wondering could I use Isopon P40 to repair as it is a polyester repair paste or will I need to get fibreglass matting and resin? also does anyone know where I can purchase a cheap wooden paddle from?

Post some pictures of the canoe and the damage. Hard to come up with a plan with seeing the damage.

Yeah it's important to know the canoe material. If it is a fiberglass canoe, repair kits are readily available and its a relatively easy job. If it is something else... it's more difficult.
