Canoe carrier

Where on earth do folk come up with such odd-ball ideas ???

It still doesn't address the issue of getting the canoe onto your shoulders - in fact I would imagine it would be a sight more difficult with such a ' carrying frame' on your back.

Interesting idea though - now can I make it with a cheapo camping chair from Wilko's ??? :D

I think it would be good if you could incorporate a couple of wheels into the design so you could use it as a canoe caddy as well.

Or perhaps have the seat so you could portage gear in it as well maybe?

Interesting idea though.

If you want one with wheels on it, take this: http://www.eckla.de/beachrolly.html
I used one for my stay in Glasgow (as an abroad student), because I wanted to take a lot of stuff with me and took the ferry from Belgium. It's stoud as hell (up to 100kg) and still lightweight.
