Can you really hide from PREDATOR using mud?

If you wanted to evade predator or the military or anyone using thermal imaging to find you would covering yourself in mud really work?. Have a guess, yes or no, then watch the video

Interesting, and perhaps not expected. However, wet mud is cooling - so follow me follow down to the hollow and there let us wallow in glorious mud.

I am guessing ‘no’ because I even with mud on you, you’d be a different temperature to everything surrounding you. Only takes a small difference to be visible.

I’ll watch it now but not spoil it as to whether I was right or wrong!

good to know... can't remember where exactly the movie is supposed to have happened (except somewhere in central america, but further north ), but in case i'm out yautja hunting in the neighborhood i'll cover myself in mud....
