Hi All,
I may be the last person to find out about this but whilst watching a clip on youtube a guy was demonstrating a technique of rigging a hammock using "rappell rings" which basically provides easy set up, good tension and negatates the need for any type of knot (apart from a stopper).

After searching long and hard for these rings i have not been able to locate any excpet for one website in the states which is pricey and postage is about 4 times the value of the rings.
Well i was browsing evilbay last night and came accross these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260825745719?ssPageName=STRK:M EWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 which seem a pretty good alternative so have just ordered 4.
Will hopefully be out for a short trip soon and wil try to do a short review on them.
Cheers, Hamster
