Thanks , will go and have a look then , all i read at the moment, in magazine terms is Dartmoor Magazine , i know its a bit sad but we have it delivered for the holiday makers in the cottages , and they were what i was going to swap with someone .

i re subscribed for two years a cpl of months ago and had to ring them recently as i hadn't received the latest two copies.but they apologized and sent them first class

What I love is the way the diary (well, mine anyhow) doesn't start until the last week of Jan, as if they knew it wasn't gonna be worth printing the 1st 3 weeks ;)

I think its a shame there wasn't the odd tides and moon phases, perhaps a table of international distress codes maybe- it was a very standard diary loosely wrapped around adverts. But its here and its free, for which I am most grateful :)

It isnt free at all chaps, if you subscribe then no probs, its a ploy to net the details and possible subscription of any one who doesn't subscribe while also selling extra ad space:)

could be right Southey, and i agree Wayland, very misleading!
Still, as long as this thread has released happy endorphins to those who have read it, their printing of this diary has been worth it!!

Go into any Mc Donalds anywhere in the world... Look at the images behind the counter of the food they are selling. Then look at the burger you just bought. Is it the same as the image?????

One aspect of advertising and marketing is all about making stuff more appealing than it actually is...

Got my diary today as well. I am a little disappointed as well but like Rockmonkey said cannot complain as its free.
If the picture had looked like the diary I received I don't think I would have bothered.

I cancelled my subscription about two years ago - IMHO little worthwhile content, all adverts, many of the articles seemed to be either provided free by Joe public or provided free by professionals in return for advertising space.

Thankyou Nonsuch, You just made me count how many adverts and the like is in my current mag, OMG!, Did not used to be like that in the early days!
Sorry! I still like the mag, even though i know a lot fo you out there don't!, But it has made me think!
