Has anyone seen "Bushcraft" magazine in WH Smiths that I saw yesterday? I had a looksy and was not that impressed TBH. There were a lot of adverts (oh, and a massive picture of BG on the back page ) and not much content all for £4.95 :yikes: per issue!

I personally believe it is not a patch on Bardster's "The Bushcraft Magazine" but again, just my opinion like but what do you think :D

Think this topic has been discussed quite a lot already mate.

Indeed it has. The main conclusion people seem to draw, is that it's topic coverage is very light and fluffy, it has too many ads, and that it is a great magazine for kids. Although saying that, some of the grammar and spelling is awful.

I think that the fact that the magazine is in W H Smiths is actually beneficial as it brings this topic to the wider public. It also means that if someone has seen this subject on the TV/online etc, they are able to start pursuing it.

also think the proof reading is seriously lacking, content is dumbed down a little, particular dislike is the kit reviewing section, the last copy i bought was ages ago, a review of 35-45 litre rucksacks, even though in the review the chap gave one rucksack 100% full marks on a pack in all aspects, he still voted another one as testers favourite for what can only be assumed was the brand name was better on it. decided that was the last time i needed to buy it.
