hiya mate the best adfice i can give is to read this site and you will learn so much also there is so much you can learn in your back yard and also when you go walks in the wilds and woods and with a few books you can be doing bushcraft in no time mate

As drewdunnrespect said have a read in here, there are lots of threads on here about what kit you need. As for a knife, you cannot go wrong witht a mora for anout £10, great starters knife, but you would need to be 18 to buy it.
You can always use public transport to get somewhere a bit wilder.

two books that will help you that you can get for about a tenna of amaerzon are

colins gems pocket guide wild food

and the same for trees

these will teach you about wild food and how to identify it and the same for trees

you've found the best bushcraft resource mate, this site. the people on it are great, ridiculously friendly and helpful. whatever you want to know about there will already be a thread on the subject somewhere on the forum.
