Apologies for the two posts, the first one messed up when it was posted.

I have recently gotten into making wooden tobacco pipes, on my lathe and sometimes by hand. They are simple but do the job that's for sure!!

What woods are you using for the bowls? Have you had any of them for an extended period of time? I ask because in my days as a piper I'd always been led to believe that it was either Briar root or Cherry wood......
